Whether you are a member of St Giles’ Church, a resident of Camberwell, a UK citizen or a visitor to our website from another country – you are very welcome!

A church has stood on the site of St Giles’ for over 1,000 years and we continue to serve the people of Camberwell through Christian worship to this day. We try to be a welcoming, open, inclusive and friendly community church. We are in the catholic tradition of the Church of England and we support the ministry of all.

Our website is intended to give you a flavour of who we are and what we do but the best way to find out more is to come along and see us! Some of our first time visitors come to explore our history or research their family roots. Others come to worship with us whilst they are staying nearby. We also have lots of musical events throughout the year and we’re home to Camberwell’s own unique jazz venue on Friday nights.

Whatever the reason for visiting us, we hope you’ll join us again soon.

Whilst the Corona virus Pandemic continues, we have sadly made the difficult decision to close the church. However, we will be updating this site with prayer sheets and messages from Fr. Nick. Please click on the link below for more information.
